DAY 1 : Departure for PERGAMON (Pergamon Revelation):2:12-17), proceed to THYATIRA (Thatira Revelation: 2:18 – 29 Act 16:14) which was a commercal and agricultural center of the highway between TROY and SARDES. Return back to İzmir. DAY 2 : In the morning visit ST. POLYCARP which is the oldst church in ancient Symrna (Symrna Revelation : 2:18-11). It symbolized the community of the SEVEN CHURCHES OF THE APOCALYPSE. Leave for EPHESUS (Ephesus Revelation: 1:11-2:1-7 Acts: 18:19-28:19), the veritable cradle of early Christianity. Visit the SHRINE of the VIRGIN MARY where she supposedly spent her later days. Proceed to Ephesus and visit the spectacular remains of Ephesus from the period of St. Paul; visit the BASILICA of ST. JOHN and his tomb. Then proceed to PAMUKKALE for dinner and overnight at hotel. Return to İzmir or airport. DAY 3 : Visit HIERAPOLIS and LEODICAEA (Leodicaea Revelation: 3:14-22) Continue to ALASEHIR where the ancient PHILADELPHIA (Philadelphia Revelation: 3:17-13) Church is located. Walk the streets of Philadelphia. The city walls, the Acropolis and the remains of the cathedral are still existing for visit to see. After lunch visit Sardes (Sardes Revelation: 3:1-6) ancient capital of the Lydians and visit the CHURCH OF SARDES. Return to İzmir or airport. Including : English speaking professional tour guide, 3 lunches, 1 dinner, A/C transportation, entrance fees to sites & museums, 1 night 4 star hotel accomodation. The Seven Churches of Revelation, also known as The Seven Churches of the Apocalypse and The Seven Churches of Asia (referring to the Roman province of Asia, not the entire continent), are seven major churches of Early Christianity, as mentioned in the New Testament Book of Revelation and written to by Ignatius of Antioch. All seven sites are in modern-day Turkey and no longer have significant Christian populations since they were emptied of Christians under the Treaty of Lausanne. In Revelation, on the Greek island of Patmos, Jesus Christ instructs his servant John to: "Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea."
